The State of the Windows (et Alia)

1434 E Gaylord St Apt O-7

This is the state that Park Place CMU claimed was fit to rent to us. Their pictures on their web site and Google page are not reality. They were told about these conditions, but Park Place CMU does not want to spend the money to fix them. Instead, if you complain, they will blame it on you and then will not renew your lease. Seems they have been doing this for a while. Somehow Park Place CMU keeps passing housing “inspections”? Don’t ask me how. Something is not right here.

Park Place CMU: This shows the state of their advertised “window” coverings as rented to my roommate three years ago. They fall and break if you open the shade too fast. Then they cannot be put back up. Park Place CMU refused to replace them and made us purchase new ones for those missing from the kitchen window when they rented the apartment to us.

Park Place CMU: First Bedroom - Window #1 – It is NOT weather tight, and the glass moves inside the frame. Pieces of the plastic that are meant to hold the glass in the frame are missing. The pieces that remain are brittle and they are easily broken (see the video below).

Park Place CMU: First Bedroom - Window #2 - It is NOT weather tight, and the glass moves inside the frame. Pieces of the plastic that are meant to hold the glass in the frame are missing. The pieces that remain are brittle and they are easily broken (see the video below).

Park Place CMU: Second Bedroom - Window #1 – It is NOT weather tight, and the glass moves inside the frame. Pieces of the plastic that are meant to hold the glass in the frame are missing. The pieces that remain are brittle and they are easily broken (see the video below).

Park Place CMU: Second Bedroom - Window #2 – It is NOT weather tight, and the glass moves inside the frame. Pieces of the plastic that are meant to hold the glass in the frame are missing. The pieces that remain are brittle and they are easily broken (see the video below).

Park Place CMU: Living Room - Window #2 – It is NOT weather tight, and the glass moves inside the frame. Pieces of the plastic that are meant to hold the glass in the frame are missing. The pieces that remain are brittle and they are easily broken (see the video below).

Park Place CMU: Window Frames - This is the state of all plastic pieces that are meant to hold the window glass in. These are some of them that fell out of a window frame here. The plastic pieces in the hallway west facing window are in the same state. I would bet that they are the same throughout the whole complex.
